China’s cosmetics manufacturing sector stands out for its vast scale and robust output. As of mid‑2025, the country is home to approximately  8889 cosmetic and personal care manufacturing businesses—Within Guangdong province alone there are over 3,100 factories, accounting for about 56% of all cosmetics manufacturers in the country. In 2024, China's annual cosmetics production reached around 1.6 million metric tons. A massive and growing network of highly industrialized manufacturers, concentrated regional clusters that enable economies of scale and supply chain integration, and ever‑rising production output—all of which support efficient, high‑volume OEM/ODM capabilities that serve both domestic and global cosmetic brands.
